Purchase of a Ford Focus 2.0i Titanium 5dr
I'd like to thank you very much for the service I received when buying my Focus. I spent a few months looking for a used car and have to say my experience at Platts of Marlow was far better than any other dealer I went to. I was extremely impressed with the whole experience, especially as our salesman, Paul, was very friendly and welcoming and put us under no pressure at all. We both felt he was genuinely interested in us and our needs. I would definitely buy another car from your garage in the future and will look into servicing and MOT with you too, even if you are 50 miles away! One thing I did forget to point out while I was at the dealership is that we were looking to view cars on a Sunday and used this link to check the opening times of the salesroom http://www.platts.co.uk/marlow/ . The opening times in the centre provided by google showed that you are shut on a Sunday and we nearly cancelled our visit. I eventually spotted the text at the top of the page stating your car dealership opening times but I wondered whether many other people may be misinformed by it. Thank you again. I am extremely happy with my car and feel very satisfied knowing that I have purchased it from a company like Platts, who have provided me with excellent customer service. Michelle

Purchase of a Hyundai i10 Classic 1.2 5dr
I am very happy with my car and the service I received from John Ayling. I felt the whole experience of dealing with Platts was excellent. I didn't feel any pressure to buy. I heard the great deal and couldn't leave without purchasing and I'm very happy I did! As I didn't think I could get any thing in my budget I had at this time! When I collected the car John explained what all the buttons do etc and even helped connect my parrot Bluetooth! I feel it worth replying to your email because the treatment I received from all your service staff was absolutely exemplary. After owning a Toyota Prius for the last 4 years, that I bought new in 2010 and receiving excellent treatment from the Toyota main dealer that I used for servicing, I was somewhat doubtful they could be bettered. But you did better than them! My first contact was with John, when I phoned in to book the service, he was most professional and friendly in the way he dealt with my call and as this was the first time I used you for servicing offered me a small discount on the cost of my service and a free courtesy car. The next contact was with Guy, who I met when I bought the car to you for its service, he also was very polite, helpful in explaining all that would be done to the car and very reassuring in his advice and in dealing with me. On collecting my car that same evening, once again Guy was helpful and informative on what the engineer had found in servicing my car, a few problems I had mentioned when leaving the car had been sorted out, inc handbrake etc, and Guy told me some other things I had asked to be looked at needed doing under warranty and got Mick the engineer that had actually done the service to explain them all to me (Which I thought was a nice touch) and at the same time booked my car in to have this work done this Thursday 13th March. So my overall experience was brilliant, it felt like I had been a regular and valued customer of yours for many years, where as this was the first time I had used you. Everything was excellent from the pick up through to the car being returned clean and ready to go. Minor comments; I had to sign a document for the works to be carried out which had a number of "Free" remarks but there was a charge of £400 or so for the Service. I called Service who confirmed that there was no charge as it was all prepaid. I'll know anyhow next time. It would be great if you could give a shorter time slot for collection and delivery of the car and/or let the customer know roughly the time it will be collected/delivered. Best wishes, John

The service I receive at Platts is always very good. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Although we had some paperwork issues they were resolved quickly. Purchase of a Hyundai i30 Active 1.6 CRDi 110PS B/D
I decided to investigate the possibility of a new car purchase on 1/2. On the 11/2 I drove out of the car park of your showroom on White Hill High Wycombe in the above vehicle extremely happy. I had, with a friend been to a few other places along the London road (I'm sure you can guess who) but having always liked the model-I work in London a lot and the Met police now drive them! I decided to opt for the Hyundai. This was down to as mentioned a liking for the car but also, above all the relaxed, no pressure, professional attitude of the sales advisor, John Ayling.. He was very knowledgeable of his product and made me feel valued. Two days later I returned and 'did the deal.' Having worked for John Lewis all my life I know only to well how quickly people are to complain about poor service but slow to recognise the good, especially from an individual. I know the difference! Having said all of the above the only thing I can critique is the lack of a full tank of fuel! I can, however understand the reasoning behind this and whilst it was a surprise it didn't dampen what has been a very satisfying purchase. Yours sincerely, Andrew Horn

Just to say everything was excellent about your customer care. I bought my car from Platts because I wanted a local dealer with whom I could have a conversation and to whom I could return if there were problems. I didn't feel pressurised and was given the time to make a decision. Upon purchase I was given time to feel comfortable with the car. In particular my daughter was included appropriately and she felt part of the decision. I felt confident making my choice because I was shown other vehicles available ( on the laptop) so I felt I was making an informed decision. Many thanks Zoe

I was very pleased with the service I received from Platts. Chris came across as both friendly and knowledgeable when I initially phoned up to enquire about the car. When I visited the garage he was quick to give me a price or my car and also to get the car out that I was interested in purchasing for me to test drive. Yes, I did have my Ford focus in for its annual service recently. The service was excellent as always. But I was amazed and delighted to see my car has been through the car wash as part of the service !
