Made up of\n1,470 pieces, the nostalgic muscle car comes complete with working steering,\ndark-blue bodywork, white racing stripes, bonnet scoop, printed Mustang grille\nbadge, GT emblems, and five-spoke rims with road-gripping tyres. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Measuring over 10 centimetres high, 34 centimetres long\nand 14 centimetres wide, the new set will give budding builders the chance to\ncustomise their all-American icon to their own specification thanks to a\ncollection of optional add-ons \u2013 while retaining its instantly recognisable\nsymbol of the Mustang pony logo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Customisation options include a supercharger, rear\nducktail spoiler, beefy exhaust pipes, front chin spoiler and a nitrous oxide\ntank for an authentic muscle car build experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere are few cars on the road that are as\ninstantly recognisable as the Ford Mustang, and it\u2019s exciting to see the iconic\ncar\u2019s combination of design and heritage come through in this LEGO set,\u201d said Roelant\nde Waard, vice president, Marketing, Sales &amp; Service, Ford of Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The authentic replica model also allows owners to\nstore items in the trunk or lift the hood to reveal a detailed big block 390\ncubic inch (6.4-litre) V8 engine with battery, hoses and air filter detailing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rear axle of the car can be lifted for an\nextra-mean look, the doors can be opened and the roof panel removed to give\naccess to the detailed interior with classic seats, radio, working steering and\na mid-console gearshift. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A printed mustang grille badge, GT emblems and a\nselection of license plates add the final touches to this extraordinary LEGO\nCreator Expert model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Ford Mustang is one of the most iconic,\nsymbolic cars in history \u2013 and to bring this fan favourite muscle car to life\nin brick form, with this level of customisation, has been exhilarating,\u201d said\nJamie Berard, Design Lead on LEGO Creator Expert. \u201cWe can\u2019t wait to see our\nLEGO and Ford Mustang fans\u2019 own creations when they get their hands on this new\nset.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The LEGO Creator Expert: Ford Mustang is available\ndirectly from LEGO stores and shop.LEGO.com\/fordmustang as of March 1, 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A true American hero will soon be screeching into stores with the arrival of the LEGO Creator Expert Ford Mustang from March 1.
