With AppLink, on Sync 3, it’s easy to open and control compatible smartphone apps with your voice. Here’s how:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
First: Make sure the ignition\u2019s switched on\u2026 the car in is neutral, and the handbrake\u2019s on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. Make sure Bluetooth\u00ae is on<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. Your smartphone is paired and connected to Sync 3. Any apps you want to access are downloaded onto the device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
TOP TIP<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You can connect your phone via Bluetooth\u00ae However, some devices will require a USB connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Select the app you want on the touchscreen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You\u2019ll be asked if you want to enable mobile apps and accept the data usage. Charges may apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Press \u2018Yes\u2019 and your app will open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You can also select an app by pressing \u2018Voice Control\u2019\nand saying the name of the app. For example, \u201cFord Pass\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once connected, use voice commands to control the app\u2019s features. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To stop your app, just press \u2018Voice Control\u2019 again and\nsay, \u201cClose Ford Pass\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
TOP TIP:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If SYNC 3 doesn\u2019t recognise an app, try closing and restarting the application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With most phones, apps should appear once restarted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For Android, press \u2018Connect Mobile Apps\u2019, or use the\nvoice command \u2018Find applications\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
